Project Grad LA - About Us - Who We Are

Who We Are

Since 1999, Project GRAD Los Angeles (PGLA) has worked to raise college acceptance and graduation rates by helping students and families navigate the path to and through college. PGLA’s program delivery model supports increased college readiness, persistence, and graduation through:

  1. College knowledge and experiences

  2. Social emotional learning

  3. Academic partnerships

In 2017 PGLA, in partnership with California State University Northridge (CSUN) and San Fernando High School (SFHS), launched a Demonstration School college preparation model that is inclusive of all 2,400 SFHS students in grades 9-12 at every level of academic achievement. PGLA’s role in this Demonstration School includes the following elements:

  • Holistic college advising
  • College learning experiences
  • Professional development
  • Family outreach
